I'll give that a try. If not, I can certainly have a copy made and sent it to you via snail mail.
I'd need your mailing address.
Aunt Betsy was my Grandmother's younger sister - by 20 years. So she was about the age of my Father. Yes, they lived in Detroit, and had a cabin in Canada - thus the choice of Canada for the monument, I suppose.
Are you involved in the care of the memorial or the upkeep of the blog?
I'd be happy to give you any information that I can about the family. I'd like to be able to get in touch with my Uncle's living relatives. Your Aunt Betsy's Memorial is beautiful. My husband and I have been visiting there for 18 years, we love admiring the grounds and pay respect to your great Aunt Betsy and your uncle Clifton Dyer. The story behind the memorial is so beautiful and can feel their love for each other when entering and spending time on the grounds. We don't live in Huntsville, but we try to visit once a year. We now live in Fort Erie. If you get the chance you should visit Dyer Memorial, unfortunately since the groundskeeper retired it has been difficult to find someone to keep it up as beautiful as he did. I'm not sure about the farm in Michigan, I only know they lived in Detroit. It would be great if it was kept in your family. I would love to see the photo you have of your Aunt and Uncle if you have any way of posting it online. The two of them are a great inspiration of everlasting love. Keep in touch, I'd love to know about your family.

Take care

Amanda

Re: Dyer Memorial

I am a great niece of Betsy Dyer. I'd known about this monument for decades and only knew that it was in Canada somewhere. Just today found a photograph of my aunt and uncle that mentioned Huntsville on the back. I went to Google and behold! I've located the menorial.
I have lost track of Uncle Tim's relatives. If any of you read this, I'd love to hear from you.
I hope some one of you still own 'the farm' in MI.
I'm 85 but still well and now hope to get to Huntsville one day to see the monument.

Re: Lindsey Baum’s case focus on abduction

Wow, I must say your clarity in the dream and then to see these certain objects and people in reality is something the police should look into and quickly. It doesn't hurt for them to follow up a.s.a.p. even if they don't feel this could pan out. When a teenage boy went missing in Barrie, Ontario last year, I had a few revelations, (a long story I did write about and will post again eventually) and during the time he was missing I read about a couple of woman, both dreaming of the spot they believe he was. They were correct in the description of the location. This young man unfortunately died in an accidental death but sometimes the police just don't listen to those they believe are just hysterical or have alternative motives. If it's okay I'd like to post your comment with some comments of my own added in hopes it can circulate. I pray they find Lindsey safe, and every minute counts. I hope they took this very seriously and have followed up. Thank you for the comment, I hope they can get back to you so they can put your fears at ease.

Stay Safe my friend

Re: Lindsey Baum’s case focus on abduction

I forgot to mention that I was talking to a close friend about my dream, and she stated to me that her friend G H, an upstanding man, who is in Thailand right now and lives in the same general area that i was led to around Mays Creek rd has a brother that lives next door who is in his mid to late fifties, and who confided in him when they were much younger that the brother had bragged to him about sexually assaulting and hurting a girl, but that he felt he could not prove it so never turned him in, but thought he may be a sidistic abuser, if this is so, it should be looked into.

Subject: Lindsey Baum
To: soadmin@co.grays-harbor.wa.us
Date: Friday, July 3, 2009, 8:34 AM

Hello,
I called into crimestoppers a dream I had the other night 6/29/09 12:30, I woke up and wrote down everything I could remember, alot was blurry but there was alot I could remember. Please not that I was unaware of the location of McCleary or the possibility that Poulsbo may have been a route from the location of disappearance. Above anything I hope my dream was just a nightmare, but it has been quite haunting and I feel if I do not share the information there may be an important lead lost and someone could be out there hurting children again and again if this case is not solved. I will type the notes I took that night, and hopefully someone will do some type of follow and then I will explain an additional incident I was involved in and some insight a friend has given me to something that may or may not be related.

There is a woman talking to me, her name may be Cecilia Haynes, RN, Great Aunt, or called Gma, has passed away. She talks about a a dark green truck- medium with a dark black tool box with a lock. Put in- Took out, raped, put back in. Ballaster. ( I do not know what this is or could mean) took home. burned. put in small military/tool box- buried.
Blond hair, Blue eyes, small-medium build, jeans, t-shirt, climbing/hiking shoes blue brown laces, nervous and shaking in rest stop- BENZ (I do not undertand this term either) has collar bone injuy, Right leg injury, is skinny and weak, has a cowboy hat hangin on wall of his house from Father. Father abandoned Abuser (do not know if this refers to hers or his). Beige house, some trees front Left corner, buried at back 1/2 between "2" more.
Sultan?
Is unemployed Contractor, divorced, alone, girlfriend woozy from bar, dark hair, pointy nose, out of place, big feet either named Named Betty, Belinda or Amy or something similar. There is some association with an Auto Paint shop. Cloth of girls clothes in truck, finger prints of girl in truck and hair, trying to push open, locked in. Passed many lit areas stopped many 6 stations-parked out-"no noise" She was yelling! Trucker may have overheard Station Poulsbo, Post, Private. Has small bag given to neighbor child of toys and candy. Talked about Mother, was ridiculed, cried. Sorry for not calling mom, like told. In box burnt. 127 or9, 86 or 9?? Mount enu.Pl SE which i thought might have been Mountain view????
Man in back watching tv. Dead. wants to get back to momma.

Now this was the end of my notes, where I basicly freaked out, when reviewing them. I had no real knowledge of the case until after this dream, when I started listening to the news. I have treid my best to let it leave my mind but it just won't go. I was at work on wednesday and my route was in the area, so for my lunch I drove out to Mountain View pl. to see if perhaps there was a green truck in front a beige house. I did see several beige houses but no truck, and was ready to let it go. I told my family I would call them around noon to let them know, as everyone I spoke with friends and family kept urging to call it in, but I do no want to be eratic or react to possibly a fictional dream. So, I called my husband and could not reach him, as he was working on a tree in Lynnwood, and I called home to my son, he asked me what I saw, and said I saw several beige houses, but no truck, so I was gonna let it go, I only had a few minutes left so I got off the phone, as I was hanging up a dark green truck pulls in front of me with a black toolbox...and I do not know if this is just a coincidence or what, it pulls off Fryland to Main out of Monroe heading west from Lake Tye. The windows are tinted black and the back window sais Cascade Lumber Inc, and mind you this may have no relation or some relation, I might have just been so sensitive to the subject at the time, and it was really just too much. The guy sees me in my bright orange vest behind him, looks at me through his side mirror and quickly pulls off to the side of the road where he gets directly behind me after I pass him. I was uncomfotable with this so I too, quickly pulled off the side and he passed me, less than a full minute later, he passes going in the opposite direction, so he must have gone down the road and turned around. I continued working, and it may be the State exempt plates spooked him...I don't know, but it felt to me to be another sign. I truly hope all is well with this girl and she is in safe place, but this dream was so distrurbing it has haunted me in my life, I hope you can find her soon so I may put this to rest and be at peace. One way or another. I called crimestoppers that night and was pretty tearful and not in control of my sorrow at such an idea. They stated they would forward the info to you. But to call the station directly if I had any questions..what do you ask? So I look up Cascade Lumber, Inc this morning and tell them my car was scratched and this truck may have been witness and if they knew who owned the truck...The guy tells me they recently sold the truck to a guy from Granite Falls, who works in Monroe and they always see that truck parked at the church on the 203 S before the bridge. There is 3-4 churches there, but one in particular is under construction. I hope at least someone will follow up and confirm that anyof these possible leads are dead.....so I can stop worrying about it, and give me call at
I do not wish to be even remotely involved with anything like this but from a child periodicly things like this have come to me that have panned out true, and I don't want to ignore something that could save someones life someday. I do not wish to be bothered at my home or any of this to be shared with anyone else. I value my job
with the State and do not want to be considered an extremist, i also feel a moral obligation to help any child of I am able, so catch 22. I hope if there is predator involved you will find him soon, and her family is in my prayers.

Respectfully,

Re: Budget your way to an island dream vacation

Interesting post. I met many people from the States who would compliment on how clean and beautiful our city was, now if they go to Toronto for the first time right now, not only may they never come back, the world of social networking could really hurt Toronto tourism in the future. The fact Ontario is hurting in so many ways this just adds to the pain. When Ontario became a have not province I didn't think our Premier also "have not gonads" to keep Ontario going in such a crucial time. What ticks me off is hearing how CUPE threatened residents if they took care of the parks or picked up garbage themselves because it infringes on their rights as workers, gimme a break. If I was a resident of Toronto I'd do it anyway and to hell with their rights as workers at this time of recession. What about rights as citizens to live in a clean and healthy environment? Are we being dictated to by CUPE, what's next a regime government?

Thank you everyone for your comments, together maybe all Ontario citizens can make a differnce

Re: Wake up Premier McGuinty and smell the garbage collecting

Dalton needs to get a backbone, and a tiny bit of common sense - health concerns are primary - maybe we should dump our garbage off at his home, and on the doorstep of every worker out on strike.

Bet that'll end the strike in record time.

GARBAGE DISPOSAL IS AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE. The City of Toronto should follow Mississauga's lead - contract the service out to a non-government private company. "So you don't want to pick up our garbage? Fine - we'll award the contract to another company"

Re: Two suspects charged, possible third in Tory Stafford case

It's so sad, every morning I check the news for anything hoping they found her. I really enjoyed your post on "This Little Piggy" on the swine virus, very clever, and on how the media needs to make a story. I think sometimes they do this solely for their ratings then for the good of the public. I sometimes see media brag about how their ratings were the best during a tragic event and makes me wonder is this what it has really come down to with them? No wonder so many people don't trust the media anymore, we have to wonder how much is exaggerated for their ratings and awards and not telling the facts. I missed CTV and the piece you talk about on "“the marketing strategy of the media is to find big events and to keep them going as long as possible, to make that mole hill into a mountain” But the best line to me was, ” The demands of the media out grow the facts of medicine.”

I guess like everything else we have to start taking their reporting with a grain of salt and hold them accountable to link to their sources when it's on the web. They expect that of new media bloggers and cut bloggers up saying we don't serve the public well because we don't have the facts.

Keep in touch, I'm RSSing you, I really like your blog. Thanks for leaving a comment. I seem to be having a problem logging in on yours to leave a comment there, you'll have to let me know how. I only pass on information once the facts have been given, if government recycling companies are telling me Tim Horton cups are not recyclable or biodegradable that is enough evidence for me as these are the companies who have the facts about recyclable material. Tully's coffee has proven their way works and is environmentally friendly. So I believe you should do your homework just a little more and read the links I've set up pointing to the facts on the inner lining of these widely used coffee cups.

Thank you for the comment

Re: A green lining for the end of life

Paper cups with petroleum based linings can be recycled (95% of them can anyway)
The 5% that cannot is the lining itself which cannot be recycled. It was hard enough for a teacher to teach when kids would fall asleep or doodle but to have cell's stuck to their hands and ears completely disregarding the teacher and the kids who want a learning experience shouldn't be allowed in class if they show that much disrespect. At a job they'd be fired for ignoring their boss to take personal calls, why is the classroom any different.
